Le pont de la tour, a funny relationship part 1

Hey everyone! The weather in London is getting rough, I hope you all are getting wrapped up and taking care. In this kind of weather I always feel there's nothing better than to eat a nice hot meal in a beautiful restaurant and le pont de la tour did just that.

The restaurant is very stylish and located near the iconic tower bridge and London Bridge, if you are in the area I definitely recommend a nice walk in the area. Anyway I was attracted to the restaurant, because of their delicious deal, £17.50 for half a lobster and a glass of wine. How could I refuse lobster?

All these utensils for a lobster? They surely take the dish seriously!
A fine selection of bread
White wine to accompany the lobster
A fruity cocktail that tasted like medicine, and bitter lemon which was the far better choice.
The really delicious lobster with chips and garlic butter, the lobster was warm and it tasted very good with the garlic butter. The lobster is grilled in the oven, lightly seasoned and all you have to do is touch it up with the garlic butter (seriously garlic butter makes everything taste good!)
To be completely honest, the food was really good and at a very good standard and quality and for the price I paid it was quite worth it, the place was comfy and the service was good. So it's definitely worth going to try out their lobster lunch offer, which is currently on offer until Friday 16 November, remember to quote 'lobster lunch' when making the reservation!

Which brings me to end, I really enjoyed the food that they served here. The lobster was real meaty and juicy. The drinks were a bit of a let down, but you can always have the alcoholic drinks or just stick to good old fashion soft drinks.

There is one thing that I would complain though, when we first arrived at the restaurant there was some confusion with the reservation. We got into a bit of a hassle which one of their managers who was extremely rude to us. Let's just say there was some complaining on my part, and everything got sorted afterwards. I'm sure it was just the one staff member  because everyone else was much more professional and friendly. The other staff member really saved their image and so did their food.

Don't let that one bad egg, deter you from visiting! The place is actually really nice and we really had a great time a

Assa, the reason behind my Korean food appreciation.....

Korean food, one of the most amazing cuisines out there and one of my favourite! Here in London we are spoilt for choice when it comes to Korean restaurants, but there is one that fits the bill when it comes to authenticity, price and taste.......ASSA
There are currently two branches, one in Giles Street and one in Romily Street.
The Giles Street branch, their first branch located near Centre point in Tottenham Court Road. 53 Giles high street, 020 7240 8256

Me and ASSA go way back, before the days when they weren't even as popular as they are now, there was no queues of hungry customers.....My first lunch at ASSA was about 4 years ago and back then hardly anyone knew about them!

Lobster and Burger, where have you been all my life?

Hi there everyone, how are you all doing? I honestly have missed showing you all the flavours of London, but I have been drowned with work. There has been quite a few drafts sitting in the drafts box, but I haven't had time to rough 'em up a little and post it. But enough about my crazy life and on with the show.......

To be very honest, I’m rather wary of restaurants that have a lot buzz and ‘good reviews. But somehow Burger and Lobster really stood out for me, the restaurant is simple, there are only three dishes on the menu, each for £20. The best thing is that, LOBSTER is their main dish! It really doesn't get any better than that!

There are only 3 items on the menu, beef burger, lobster roll (lobster meat in a brioche), grilled whole lobster. All at £20 each.
